Chapter 95
an Tydon released himself from the Force and look at Doran's wound. The healing process had cure most of the inner muscle tissue, but the wound edges were still ragged as a large part of the skin had be ripped off.
Suddenly Ian notice a stir in Doran's body. He turned to look at the face of the young man. Doran's eyes had opened and he looked at Ian who smiled at him.
"Who are you?" Doran asked, lifting his head.
"I'm Tama-Hin Kenobi, master Whain, but you probably know me better under the name I have been using for many years. I'm Ian Tydon." Ian said friendly.
"You're Ian Tydon, the guy Darth Golluth has been looking for. You were severely wounded, but as I look on you now you seemed in good health. Better than me, although that blast wound doesn't hurt anymore."
Doran craned his neck to have a look at his left side.
"I thought it looked very bad, but I seem to have lucky. Some bacta patches will surely cure the skin. Why are you here, Ian?"
"My sister send me to the Astræga to help you, master Whain"
"Help me, why?"
"Wedge Antilles has brought you to the Astræga after one of Trevor Matrik's guard droids shot you. You had a terrible looking wound on your left side. You've taken care of by Chati Fonaldris, master Antilles, padawan."
Doran frowned and his face got a thoughtful expression.
"I remember the Quelan woman. She put something on the wound, telling me to lay still otherwise my wound would get worse, but I had to warn the leaders on the Tychorion as Shaayla-Car asked me. Where is Shaayla-Car? Is she still provoking Trevor Matrik?"
"She was with Luke Skywalker, my friend Yarmod and me, when Wedge Antilles told us what has happened to you. Shaayla-Car wanted to help you, because she not only a Jedi Knight, but also a Jedi healer."
"A Jedi healer. I've read about those Jedi healers while I was doing investigation on Coruscant. They all were killed when the emperor took control, isn't it."
"Not all of them, master Whain. My mother Severini Solichor survived and fled together with my father general Obi-Wan Kenobi."
"Severini Solichor is your mother, but the woman I've met at the vineyard building was called Liane Solichor. She must be Severini's daughter," Doran mused, then he looked at Ian and stretched out his hand, "And you are Liane's brother. Yes, she said that I could call her Liane, or Shaayla-Car, which is a more suitable name for her, I think. But you said that she wanted to give help only Jedi healers can give, but she send you?"
"My sister convinced me that I could do the same as her, because I also have inherited the healing skills from my mother. I have had some experiences in the past which make me feel certain that I could help you. How do you feel, master Whain."
"Call me Doran, Ian. I think you have succeeded, because the wound doesn't cause me any pain now. What did you do to help me? Did you use bacta patches to cure my wound."
Ian looked a bit embarrassed.
"Doran, your wound was very severe, not to say you might have died. Wedge and Chati could stop the loss of blood, but the laser blast had done severe damage to some of your organs. You ask me what I did to help you. The answer is: I didn't provide any help."
"You didn't, but you just said that my wound was so severe that I would have died."
"Doran, no I helped you. It was the Force that show me what kind of help she could provide. As a Jedi Knight I allowed the Force to guide me how she could cure the damage the laser blast had done to your organs. The Force showed me how she wanted to use me so she could cure you. You're safe now, all the damage to your organs has been cured. Before you woke up most parts of the muscle tissues has been cured as well. The only thing what's left are the upper layers of tissues and your skin. I will use the Force later to let her undo that last part of damage."
"Ian, I don't understand what you're talking about. Maybe you should show me what you have been doing with those special skills the Jedi have."
"We don't have any special skills, Doran. The Force show us how we can use her power, but we have to commit ourselves to her will."
"Are you telling me that the Jedi Knights are the slaves of the Force." Doran asked surprised, "I don't think, that isn't what you meant."
"The Jedi Knights aren't the Force's slaves. She shows what she want us to do, but we also can tap in to her power extend our human power and give help when needed. I'm willing to show how the Force can cure your skin, but you shouldn't ask any question while I tuned in on my unseen ally."
"I want to see it with my own eyes, Ian, otherwise I will never be able to believe how the Force has cured that blast wound. I've seen the damage and I was sure that it meant the end of me. When do you want to continue?"
"Just before you woke up I finish a session. I need to rest now, because to cure the sick or the wounded, like you, the Force use my own Life Force to heal what's been damaged. So, you'd better rest or sleep again. I'll be back after I have recuperated."
Doran Whain shook his head.
"I don't understand until I have seen it, but I'm grateful to you and so will be the grand-admiral on Coruscant. I'm his nephew and he's my only relative. Thank you, Ian, or should I say Tama-Hin which is a name that belongs to you much more."
They shook hands. Ian left the medic bay to take a rest and restore his own Life Force. In the control Wedge was showing Chati how she could move objects using her Force skills. For a moment Ian watch the Quelan girl and smiled. Wedge looked up.
"How are you doing, Tama-Hin. You look tired."
"I am, Wedge. Have you heard anything from the others?"
"No, but I will contact Leia to coordinate the arrival of the leaders from the Tychorion."
Ian looked at Chati.
"Can I ask you to cover master Whain wound with another bandage of those leaves, Chati. He has woken up and said that he feel much better. I told him to rest or get some sleep again."
Chati wanted to jump to her feet, but Wedge shook his head.
"I first want to finish these teaching, padawan. Keep your attention to what you're doing. We'll see you later, Tama-Hin."
Luke, Liane and Yarmod were still following the underground riverbed which would lead them to the inlet, the plateau and the campsite of the harvesters. Yarmod told Luke and Liane what Han, Leia, the harvest man and the Grann brothers had done.
"The father of master Cornell is a tough guy who immediately gotten involved in the plans and the work that needed to be done. I understood, that originally it had been him who started the work decades ago far before Trevor Matrik took control of the cave system. Did you see that guy's face when a huge amount of droids paralyzed and were fallen over. I hardly could suppress laughing."
"Doran Whain's work has been of incredible value," Luke said and showed them the device.
"I will give it back to him, for he probably will find another use for it."
They walked on quietly for a while.
"Shaayla-Car, you enraged Trevor when you explained what the Wall of Light means. I was ready to defend you in case he would have attack one way or another."
"He couldn't, Yarmod. He had to rely on his killer droid, for I sensed that he knew what had happened to him. He probably has sensed his lack of the Force already long before he occupied Ribana. I pity him, because his stubborn behavior and believe in his vanished power has done much harm to many."
"You feel pity for him, while he has more than once tried to kidnap you?" Yarmod asked.
"He had to hire and rely on mercenaries or bounty hunters on his attempts and I think he knew that would fail him. He didn't believe my explanation and became furious, but I've provided him with the truth for I left a datapad on the step of the dais with the transcription of the sentence and the emperor's verdict and Anakin's execution of the verdict."
Luke smiled at her.
"So that's what you were doing when you had brought us to Doran's quarters. Ian, Yarmod and I were discussing what would be the best way to proceed. You were walking through the cave, rummaging through some drawers as if you were looking for something."
"I was. In one of those drawers I found a forgotten datapad, an ancient model, but it still worked. I erased all its content, before I uploaded the transcription of the file which was originally in Jedieese. I didn't set an encryption on it to make sure Trevor could access and read the content. He probably has done that by now."
"It will enrage him even more," Yarmod remarked.
"Realizing a truth is never easy, Yarmod, and I know what I'm talking about."
Luke put his arm around Liane's shoulder.
"You've proven yourself a true follower of the Good Side of the Force. You've achieved a lot with the help of so many Jedi of old."
"They mostly showed me what happened in the past. How the Jedi thrived, using their way to make use of the Force, but it was Ben who really put on the path I had to follow."
Luke pulled her to him.
"Ben deserve my eternal gratitude for leading this naughty pixie to the Good Side of the Force."
Liane gave him a teasing push.
"Wrong, master Skywalker, it was you who did that and always kept faith in me."
Yarmod interrupted their conversation and pointed ahead.
"We're nearing the inlet. Shaayla-Car, this part is much steeper. At the end is the inlet."
They hurried along and a couple of moments later they could look up at the sky. Quickly they jumped out of the inlet and looked around. There was no one of their other friends present, but Luke sensed the presence of his sister and her husband. Liane smiled.
"Yarnick and his brothers are here. It would be so good to meet them again. We had a great walk through the western wilderness together."
"Let's go to the campsite on the higher plateau," Luke said and pointed to the rope ladders.
'Leia, what do you think will be the best moment to ask the leader of both governments to land on Palomintar Four and what coordinates we will give them' Wedge asked.
'Wedge! I would say immediately, but the harvester, the Grann brothers, Han and Chewie and Luke, Liane and Yarmod asked me to have a slight delay. About a day or so!' Leia sounded elated.
'Shaayla-Car, Luke and Yarmod are with you?' Wedge asked surprised.
'Yes, they managed to escape through the underground riverbed, after Trevor had released many of his killer droids, because Liane had told Trevor he would never be a Force user again, as the emperor had decided my father should encase him in the Wall of Light. You probably know that the Wall of Light can't be undone. They all are with us now. We can proceed with the harvesters plan and release the water flow back into the riverbed. The Grann brothers with Cornell and Han are preparing to blow up a huge part of the high wall, so the water form the lake will flow to the inlet.'
'I never expected this, Leia. I feel relieved that Luke and the other are save.'
'I guess, that you also have a lot to tell. How is Ian doing? Was he able to help Doran Whain like Liane assumed?'
'I can't compare what he has done with what Shaayla-Car could have done, but Ian healed Doran Whain's wound. I have seen how he used the Force to penetrate deep inside the wound and how incredible it was to notice that the Force's blue light began to cure the damage the laster blast had caused.'
'Sounds he's fulfilled a great task. Is he alright?'
'Yes, he is, although he feels very tired.'
'Wedge, will you ask the leaders to land the day after tomorrow. I suggest to make them land west of Ribana on the plains. Han, Chewie, Luke, Liane, Yarmod and I will be there with the Falcon to welcome them. Are you able to be there with the Astræga?'
'I will, Leia. I think that Shaayla-Car will be very glad to meet Doran again.'
Wedge released himself from Jedi Telepathy and looked at Ian and Chati.
"How is Doran doing?" He asked.
"He's asleep again, master' Chati answered. "I gave him a drink with a herb I always have with me. Ian and I thought it would be better for him to relax more, for he was too excited. Ian even couldn't get in his Force meditation to cure the last part of his wound. I've cover the wound with the leaves again, but Ian need to find a calm moment to heal the muscles and the skin."
"We're going to lift off and land the Astræga on the western plains of Ribana. There we will meet the others who will land there with the Falcon. We're all going to welcome the leaders of the New Republic and the Provisional Coruscant Council on your planet, Chati. You once were the hostess of your people and I want you to welcome them."
Chati blushed with excitement.
"I will do my best, master, to bid them welcome. It's a shame that they will only see the deterioration of my home town."
"They need to see what has been done to Ribana, your people's thriving community and their way of life, young padawan."
Ian who showed some inquietude looked at Wedge Antilles
"Wedge, how about my sister and the other two: Luke and Yarmod. They are still inside that cave system I guess. I tried to sense their presence through the Force, but the Force wanted me to focus on helping Doran."
"Your sister, Luke and Yarmod will meet us on the plains, Tama-Hin. They escaped through the underground riverbed and are now at the campsite on the other side of the mountain ridge."
"They escaped through ..." Ian began to laugh, "That must have been Yarmod's idea. I wonder what happened to them inside those cave. Wedge, did you hear anything when the water flow from the lake will be released."
"Very soon, I think. I have to warn the leaders on the Tychorion to land on Palomintar Four the day after tomorrow. Tama-Hin, I want you to take a long rest now. You look as though you haven't slept for a long time. As our friend Doran is asleep you'd better do the same."
Ian nodded.
"I didn't expect I could do it. Maybe my sister can help me to heal Doran's skin."
"She surely will, Tama-Hin. Now I want you both to strap in. I'm going to check on Doran. We'll lift off immediately. We will be early at the landing spot, but that will give me time to ask the leaders to land nearby."
"Master, won't it be to dangerous to ..." Chati began, but immediately shook her head, "No it won't master, for we can avoid being detected while the ship is cloaked. Before we leave, master, I want to collect another bunch of leaves outside the ship."
"You go, Chati. Take Threepio and Artoo with you to collect as much as you can."
"They escaped and left me here with that horrible message, that I can't become the next emperor, because Darth Vader has used his evil Force to block my Force sense." Darth Golluth murmured angrily.
'But I'm not defeated. They are three, or perhaps four and I have much more droids to fight them, although many of them suddenly collapse. Did those Jedi paralyze those droids? If only Lady Vader would have been more cooperative together with her brother, then I would have had a chance to work out another plan to found a new Empire. I may not be able to use the Force, but they are and I could have taught them how it felt to be powerful and invincible. But they are still somewhere on this planet. I will send my droids to find their space ship and I will order them to destroy it, so those Jedi won't be able to leave. Then I will have my droids chase them until they will surrender and ask my forgiveness.' Darth Golluth considered in a long train of thoughts
A laugh sounded echoing along the cave walls.
'You still harbor your huge sense of self-worth, of your abilities and skills. Once a promising Force user, you grew arrogant and overconfident. You wanted to take my place with Palpatine. In your arrogance, you thought you could replace me as Palpatine's aide and confidant, but Darth Sidious had forged a nearly unbreakable bond with me. You could never have replaced me. You would have known, Trevor, if you had ever studied the ways the Sith wield their influence. Have you ever heard of the Rule of Two? I doubt not. Let me explain. Centuries ago, that rule was established by Darth Bane to avoid rivalry between the many users of the Dark Side. There only would be two Siths: a Sith Master and his Sith Apprentice.'
"Lord Vader, one question. Who killed Emperor Palpatine?"
'I did, Trevor, as was destined in the Rule of Two. The Apprentice would always have to kill the Master to become the new Sith Lord.'
"So you indeed craved to become the ruler of the galaxy?" Trevor Matrik asked
'I once thought just as you have all these years. I wanted to rule the galaxy with my son, but he prevented me from becoming the next Sith Lord. He showed me what truly mattered: not the rule of the Sith and the Dark Side, but the rule of the Jedi and the Good Side of the Force.'
"But you have trained your daughter to become a Sith lady, right?"
'Yes, I did. I thought I could seduce her to embrace the Dark Side and Sith doctrine, but her mother's influence was far stronger, and my attempts failed miserably. Liane Solichor never became a Sith and never embraced the Dark Side of the Force, even though it sometimes seemed she was submitting to my will.'
"Yes, I saw her kill the staff officer who had taken advantage of her affection for him to abuse her."
'No, Trevor. I was the one who carried out his execution, because I wanted to set an example for my men. Liane begged me to send him to war, and I was tempted to grant her wish, but I decided otherwise. From that moment on, she hated all the knowledge I had imparted to her, though she tried to hide that deep hatred. Of course, I felt her hatred, so I kept in mind that that deep-seated hatred would eventually lead her to the Dark Side.'
"It's a pity that that never happened. Instead she became friends with those Skywalkers who convinced her to follow the way the Jedi Knights use the Force. She even told me she's Jedi Knight now."
'She is, and her achieved brings me great joy, although there's still a lot for her to discover about the use of the Good Side of the Force, she will become as powerful as her mother once has been. My son will continue to support and stay with her and their bond will bring prosperity to the galaxy again. Through them the Jedi Order will rise again.'
"Regrettable I would say. You certainly regret that too, don't you , Lord Vader," Trevor remarked.
'No, I don't, Trevor. I have renounced the Dark Side of the Force, when I sensed how much empathy and compassion my son had for me. Too late, I sensed which great power I once had had as a Jedi Knight. It's the Good Side of the Force and the Jedi Knight who have to ensure this galaxy prosperity. It's the ultimate task of the Jedi Knight to avoid that the Dark Side of the Force will rule again. Therefore the Jedi will always have to fight the Sith, as they have done for eons.'
"That means that I have to give up my future plans. Since you executed the Emperor's verdict to encase me in that Wall of Light I'm no longer able to feel the Force's power and I will never gain the knowledge of the Sith. Nothing remains for me, Lord Vader."
'Confess to redeem your failures, Trevor, confess that what you have done - your occupation of this planet, the killing of the stormtroopers, the explosion of that second star destroyer, the exile of the people of Ribana - can't be vindicated, renounce and abandon your plans to restore the Empire and accept your faith, Trevor. I can offer you no further advice.'
The voice of Darth Vader no longer echoed through the main cave. Trevor shrugged his shoulders.
"I will never surrender. I can't surrender. I will stay inside these caves. I will die in here. I will order some droids to seal the doors and I will never go into the outside world again."
"Cornell, Yarnick, I have attached some hundred explosive globe inside those deep fissures. The moment you take away that last piece of rock the water from the lake will start to flow through the fissure and the explosion will rip off the upper part of the high wall." Han Solo and pointed to a rock which blocked the outlet of the lake.
The block was thoroughly covered with a thick layer of freezing foil. A long cable connect the foil to the freezing unit.
Cornell looked hopeful.
"We will succeed, master Solo. Finally," He said while he looked at the four Jedi Knights who were standing next to Han Solo. "I understand that the Jedi have used their specific weapon to make the freezing successful."
"We all have put an extra mark in the rock, Cornell, so your freezing method will surely crumble this last rock and created a new lake and river near Ribana." Luke said.
"One last warning, before we have leave," Han said, "As soon as the freezing unit has started seek coverage way down the path that lead up here. The explosion will blast much of the upper part of the wall and huge rocks might fly high up in the air."
"We've already taken care of that, Han," Yarnick said, "My brothers Kieran and Brion will activated the freezing unit from the campsite, so no one will be here when we activate the unit and afterwards the explosion. "
"Good," Luke nodded, "Cornell, has everyone been told to stay away from the plateau."
Cornell nodded.
"Told all of my men and my youngest son to stay at the campsite. The rope ladders have been pulled up and stored so no one will be on the plateau."
"All is set then," Yarnick said.
They all nodded and walked over to the steep path that lead to the campsite. Inside the community tree house there was a tension in the air. Luke looked around and saw that all the Grann brother were there, as were all Cornell's men, his father and his youngest son. Yarmod was talking to Leia, Chewbacca and Han.
"Where is Shaayla-Car?" He asked.
"I saw her going into the forest downhill, master Skywalker," Wollin said.
Luke nodded and left the tree house. He followed the path inside the woods and found Liane at the clearing. She looked up when he approached.
"I wanted to see more of this woods, Luke. It's so peaceful here. It reminds me of Endor. Also those tree houses look familiar. I miss Teebo, Logray and Chirpa."
"And you're also worrying about Doran, don't you?"
She nodded
"Yes, I feel responsible for my brother and for Nori Thai, Luke."
"Leia told me that Wedge will bring the Astræga to the rendez-vous point. As soon as we've landed with the Falcon you can have look at both of them, but I sense you're also worrying about some one else, right?"
"Yes. Luke, what will happen to Trevor when the water flow will enter the cave system. I understand that wall at the end of the riverbed will explode the same way as will happen near the lake. Luke, I don't want Trevor to drown inside the main cave. I wish I knew a way to warn him, but as a none-Force user no one of use can reach him."
Luke pulled her to him and gently kissed her.
"You're such a caring woman, my comrade, but there is no way to warn Trevor Matrik any more. The moment the water from will finds its way inside the underground riverbed his faith is sealed."
Liane looked up at him.
"Trevor is a human being, Luke. We can't let him be killed this way. I wish that I could reach Ben, or my mother, or any one else of the Jedi who once helped me. I'm sure that one of them can warn Trevor and save him from drowning inside those caves."
Luke looked at her with a serious face.
"You have been thinking to run all the way back through the riverbed, haven't you?"
"I have, but I know that would be a very stupid action, so I discarded that possibility, but I also can't see another solution."
"Is that the reason why I find you here, my lovely pixy." Luke asked concerned.
"Yes, it's peaceful here. It's fine spot to do a Jedi mediation. I hoped I can reach some of those Jedi of old to warn Trevor, so he can leave those caves unharmed."
Luke pulled her to a fallen tree stem.
"Shall we do that Jedi meditation together, my dearest?"
Liane looked how he gently took her hands in his.
"We're a Force dyad, remember. We feel each others worries. We can become a union in the Force in a Jedi meditation. It will feel so much stronger than if you do that meditation alone."
Liane smiled.
"Now, you're talking as my Jedi master, Luke, but I accept your words. We are a Force dyad, which means that the Force binds us together. Our bond can't be broken. Maybe together we're strong enough to make one of the Jedi who went before us aware of what we want to ask them."
Luke put Liane's hands on his shoulders. He place his hands on her. He bowed his head to hers until their heads touched, while he looked in her eyes.
'Now become one with the Force and join me in our eternal union, Shaayla-Car' He said passing his thought into her mind.
Liane felt how the Force began to whirl around them. They were both lifted as if they had become weightless. She tightened her grip on his shoulders to become a part of him, while she sensed that he became part of her. Their Force spirits seemed to merge and became one, and all of a sudden they both found themselves inside the main cave where Trevor Matrik sat at his chair on the dais. Liane noticed the broken datapad near the wall and she understood that her plan had worked out the way she had intended. Trevor had read the content of the file, and knew the truth. In their combined Force spirits they neared the man on the dais. They sensed the pain their former adversary felt.
'Trevor Matrik, listen to us. Listen carefully.' Their voices sounded in unison through the cave.
Trevor looked up, searching for the source of those voices.
"Do I hear your voices, Jedi Skywalker and Liane Vader."
'Trevor you should leave this cave while you can.' Luke said.
"I won't Jedi Skywalker. I want to die in here."
'Trevor do you want to be drowned?' Liane's voice said concerned.
Trevor began to laugh.
"There's not enough water inside these caves to drown me, Lady Vader?"
'Not yet, Trevor, but that's going to change. We're warning you for a huge water flow that will come which will flood these caves and become a river near the town of Ribana.' Both voices of Luke and Liane sounded in unison. 'These cave were once the system of an underground riverbed that lead to the other side high up the mountain ridge.'
"And somehow that riverbed will be flooded again?" Trevor Matrik asked in disbelieve, "Nonsense, Lady Vader, how could a water flow from high up the mountains reach the underground riverbed. These cave are dry, no water has been here for aeons I guess. No, Jedi Skywalker and Liane Vader. I'll stay here. I want to die here."
'Heed our warning, Trevor, it might save your life.' Luke's voice sounded.
Their union in the Force became thinner and finally vanished. Liane put her head against Luke's shoulder.
"We've done what we could, Shaayla-Car. We warned him, now we have to leave it to him, if he will take action." Luke said while he put his arms around her.
"My lovely pixie, stop worrying. The Force has allowed us to warn him. There's nothing left for us to do."
"Hold me, Luke. I know you're right. I feel it, and I know we can't do more. Trevor always has been stubborn, always relying on his own point of views."
"Which weren't always right, my dearest. Shall we go to the community tree house. I fear that my sister begins to worry about us."
He pulled her to her feet and held her close while he walked back with her to the campsite.
Inside the main cave Trevor Matrik opened his eyes and wondered if he had dozed off.
"I must have fallen asleep. Funny I saw myself in this cave listening to the voices of Jedi Skywalker and Liane Vader. They warned me for a coming flood through these cave. There would be so much water that I could be drowned. All nonsense of course. How could water come here from the mountain ridge."
He stood up and walked to the doors that shielded the main cave. Thoughtfully he opened the doors and listened.
"Nothing. I would hear water tickling through these cave. There's only enough water here to stay alive. My droids know how to collect the water which I drink during dinners. The taste often is bad, so I prefer the wine I confiscated from that vineyard building. There are enough bottles left to quench my thirst. Maybe I should get another bottle from my secret storage."
Trevor walked through the cave to the small cave locked with the wooden door. He opened the door with a key and stepped inside. With a big grin he looked at the many bottles which laid on the racks. Carefully he took one bottle in his hand, looked at it and nodded.
"This one is excellent."
He left the cave that served as his wine storage, locked the door and went back to the main cave. At one of the sideboard he found a glass. Slowly he walked back his chair on the dais. He opened the bottle and poured himself a drink.
With a big smile he overlooked his main cave.
"They said I had to flee, before the water comes. I first will quench my thirst with as many bottles as I can swallow."
'You shouldn't do that' A soft female voice said.
"I shouldn't do that," Trevor answered and put down the glass and the bottle
'You should heed their warning.' The female voice continued.
"I should heed their warning," Trevor said as in trance.
'They don't want you to get hurt.'
"They don't want me to get hurt."
'You should take precautions quickly.'
"I should take precaution quickly."
"You shouldn't wait for the water to come.'
"I shouldn't wait for the water to come."
"You should leave this place while you're still safe.'
"I should leave this place while I'm still safe."
Trevor seemed to wake up from his trance and looked around.
"Yes, I'd better leave, while I'm alive. Maybe I should go to seek a safe building in that deserted town. I can wait there and see for myself if this cave system will be flooded. If not I always can return."
Trevor walked through the main corridor to the exit of the caves. He blinked as he stepped outside. The bright light obscured his view of his surroundings. In the distance downhill he saw the vague images of the deteriorated town of Ribana. He disgusted the view, nevertheless he started to walk downhill to reach the town and look for a possibility to find a temporary place to stay.
"We signal you, when you should activated the freezing unit. Keep your infocoms at standby," Han said to Kieran and Brion. "And stay away from the high wall and the plateau, all of you."
"We will," Kieran said with a big grin.
Han turned to Luke.
"Where is that girlfriend of yours, Luke, Maybe you should tie her to a tow cable?" He said impatiently. "She always seems to vanish when I want her to stay nearby."
"I'm here, general Solo, and I don't need to be tie to a tow cable, as you so kindly suggested to Luke."
"Get inside the Falcon, sweetheart. We're leaving in a minute. Leia just told me that Wedge has already arrived at the rendez-vous point and those leaders waiting on the Tychorion are asked to board their shuttle and land on Palomintar Four. Chewie, start the engine."
Han walked on the ramp of the Falcon. Luke and Yarmod followed. Once inside they strapped in while Han went over to the cockpit to lift off. Liane had taken a seat next to Leia who she had been telling about her combine Force meditation with Luke.
"Do you really think that Trevor will heed your warning, Liane?"
"I hope he will, Leia. I don't want him to lose his life when the water flow will flood his cave system. It's also a pity that all the furniture he confiscated from the Quelans will be ruined."
"Make a decision, isn't always easy, Liane. You and Luke have warned him. What he will do next is his choice, no one can do that for him."
"I know, Leia, and I understand, but as a Jedi I want to protect all living things. Every one is part of the Living Force as Luke taught me on Endor."
"Trevor has done much harm to the Quelan community. You've seen Ribana youself. His illegal occupation of this part of Palomintar Four has ruined their lives. He has to be brought to stand trial. he has been chasing all sorts of illusions for which he wanted to start another war."
Liane nodded, but didn't comment on Leia's words. Leia put her hand on Liane's arm.
"You disagree with what I said, right?" She asked.
"No, I don't. He has to stand trial, but I hope he will get a fair trial. You're when you say that he has been chasing wrong illusions, but he has been a late victim of emperor Palpatine's vicious regime. It was Palpatine who degreed that Trevor would be encased in the Wall of Light, so that he would lose his Force skills. It was Anakin who had to execute Palpatine's degree, and it was Palpatine who imprisoned both Trevor and Anakin at the domains on Morantan. "The Dark Side has no mercy, Liane. The Sith doesn't value life, that why the Jedi always have to be on alert if they assume that the Dark Side might rise again," Leia answered on Liane's long reflection.

Leia embraced Liane
"You're a sweet girl, Liane. I'm proud that your my foster-sister."
